Multiple versions on disc - any way to compile?
Is there any way to avoid ripping each version (say 2 versions of a movie on a single disc) as a seperate file? Like can you dump the extra bits to another smaller file and have VLC point to several files to play a certain version of the movie? For example at the moment I’ve ripped Gladiator but eac...

Re: Drive completely disconnects when reading Westworld S2 D1
I had a few occurrences of something similar with my American Psycho disc.I had to keep unplugging the SATA power from the back of the drive. Eventually after retrying literally about 100 times over the course of a few weeks, that one time the drive decided the read the disc ok and ripped it fine. M...

Re: Dolby Vision playback via laptop via VLC Player?
That's the right model, yes. Just be aware, like I said, installing coreelec the first time is a bit involved. Once it's set up you're good to go and the pq rivals stand alone UHD players. Re: Dolby Vision playback via laptop via VLC Player?
As I understand it, the best way to watch your MakeMKV DV rips on a TV is to get a Ugoos AM6B+ and load CoreElec onto it. Playing DV content as it comes on a UHD (DV profile 7) requires hardware that can do specific things and software to take advantage of the hardware. This is different than playi...

Dolby Vision playback via laptop via VLC Player?
Hey,
I wonder if I could flex the brains of some of the forum’s DV experts?
Is there a way to get VLC to play Dolby Vision titles (assuming it’s connecting to an external TV which displays DV).
I have no idea on the requirements to get this working or if it can work?
Thanks 🙏

Pull the power out the back of the bd drive, then plug it back in. This cured my LG drive of numerous issues.
Or if the rear of the drive isn’t reachable, turn off the pc and pull the power out to do a full shutdown so the motherboard goes off.

JFK UHD - other playlists on disc?
Hey there,
I’ve managed to rip the 90GB file perfectly fine, however on the disc are 3 other playlists with quite large file sizes, something like 26GB, 36GB and 22GB.
Anyone know what these other ones are?
