Update on the above: I solved that by putting libaacs in the same folder as mpv

Solved by putting libaacs.dll in the same folder as mpv

I'm following this here https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=7009, and also guides like this one https://www.funtoo.org/Playing_Blu-ray. As of now I run the following command (Windows):

mpv bluray:///E:

And I get this error:


No usable AACS libraries found!
[bd] AACS encryption ...

So how is it precisely that you were able to get BDs working with MPV? I know about copying libmmbd into VLC's folder twice, one as libaacs.dll and one as bdplus.dll, but how can this be done with mpv?

Ok trying now to figure out which firmware I should choose for my WH16NS40. I have the mk-firmware-pack-20200720 downloaded.


If you will be using MakeMKV (not anyDVD or DVDFab) then flash WH16NS60 1.02 MK from the "old"folder in MK firmware pack with "enc?" checked.
