It does indeed convert. When demuxing a DVD I see this in the window:
"CC > Text English (Lossy conversion)". It converts CC subtitles to give both a .sub and .idx file.

I've ripped many Region 1 and Region 2 DVDs before with my drive. It's just that disc I reported that I can't rip.

It's an LG BH10LS38. I used DVD Shrink before on the drive which decrypted DVDs from region 2 and region 1 so I doubt it's the drive that's the problem.

I have MakeMKV v1.16.3 installed and registered with a paid licence. I can't decrypt Garth Marenghi's Darkplace Region 2 DVD with MakeMKV.

That's not much good. I would like an audio notification to play when a rip is finished regardless of whether I'm listening to music in the background or not. I don't see why this would be a difficult feature to add.
