Re: Recovered BP50NB40 SVC NB40 (MT1959) - looking for UHD firmware advice

Hi everyone,

This is an update after my previous recovery issue.

My drive is an LG BP50NB40 with:

* SVC: NB40
* Platform: MT1959
* Original firmware: 1.00
* LibreDrive: Enabled
.........

Be aware that not every MT1959 platform is flashable, if your controlled focus only lies on this. This ...

Re: SDF error recovering BU40N DE_LG_BU40N_1.00.bin

Thanks for all the suggestions. I've ripped uhd disc successfully using 1.0. I was confused about not being able to play directly using vlc but can see that there are several reasons why that might not work. The mkv plays fine as far as I can tell.

Thanks again.

Re: LG / Hitachi end production of optical drives

A friend of mine has buyed a BU40N with production date March 2026. Not a fake, it came with fw 1.05 and was able to flash to 1.03MK and works perfectly. "End of Life" seems to mean a broad period of time here?! This is the newest drive I've seen since the production stop was announced.

Re: doesn anyone have v 1,55 for pioneer?

For the Pioneer BDR-211EBK Blu-ray drive, the latest official firmware versions include v1.54. Firmware v1.55 is officially intended for the Pioneer BDR-209 series, not the 211.

Or do I unterstand something wrong ....?

Re: Looking for a pre flashed UHD Pioneer in EU

Thank you for the suggestion.
Do you know the difference of the BDR-UD0xTDB and the BDR-UD0xFAL model?

As far as I know the different suffix stands for different OEM manufacturer of notebooks to provide support for compatibility to the different firmwares or BIOS of the notebooks.

I had three ...

It is in human nature to think about such a thing. Mike won't have rolled with Scrabbel bricks. :wink:

But it's true, it's not very vital to know it.
