If you want a LG and maximum ripping speed is not very important for you take a LG BU40N or a BU50N. It's a slim drive. No, sorry. The firmware is newer then November 2022. All Pioneer drives which could be 4k friendly with the right firmware but were flashed to a firmware 12/22 or newer are out of the game.

New discs you should wash with a warm soapy water gently and dry it in the same way with a soft microfiber cloth.
