Yes, just flash it to 1.03MK.

Is in that moment when MakeMKV doesn't recognize the changed status the drive available in the Windows Explorer or in the device manager?

Is there the "Initio Default Controller" in the device manager? If so uninstall it and check the drive function again.

You can work cautious with toothpaste and sand the disc with it. From the inner to the outer, not in circles. Use it on the single scratches, not on the complete disc at all. After this wash the disc also with liquid soap and warm water. Dry with a paper towel. Wipe with a microfiber cloth. Perhaps ...

You've to flash it for MakeMKV compatibility.
Flash directly to BU40N 1.03MK.
