Somebody may correct me, but if you have an Buffalo BRXL-16U3 without a Pioneer drive but a LG, it has the older and not compatible MT1939 platform.
Buffalo used LG BH10 oder BH12 drives in earlyer 16U3 a far as I know.

Yes, it's flashable. Check the Ultimate Flashing Guide.

Without a look to the MakeMKV drive informationit it's a glass ball prediction.
You can risk it or perhaps the seller is answering the question about the installed firmware.

Yes, 1.05 is encrypted but the SDFtool Flasher has a checkbox to solve this.spacecowboy2050 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 04, 2025 12:42 pmLooking at the picture (I'm not at home yet), it seems that it might be 1.05 on it. Bearing in mind I'm new to this, does that mean it's encrypted? If so, is there anything I can do?

Blu-rays and 4K won't recognize at all?
Perhaps the blue laser is defective or dirty.
You can try to clean the laser lenses with alcohol and q-tips. Clean and dry without getting the alcohol on the laser dry by air.

Re: Pioneer BDR-S13E-X Vs. BDR-S13EBK Vs. BDR-213EBK
I've a good offer for a used BDR-213EBK. I try to sniffle if it will be flashable for UHD. The seller say he didn't update the firmware after he've buyed the drive. The drive's mfd date is May 2023. The fw 1.05 is from Sep. 2023. Therefore, this fimware cannot have been installed theoretically yet. ...

Yes, it can be flashed.
Just have a look to my post from yesterday, 6.58 PM.
But post your drive information also before doing some flashing. Drive platform is MT1959 also?

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2025
Have a good look into the very first post in this thread. Use the SDF Flashing Tool for flashing directly to firmware LG WH16NS60 1.02MK. You can find the download link for the tool and the firmware pack also there ----> https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=22896 Try it.

Re: BP60NB10 from China
All known BU40N fw will be able to flash as far as it's known.
The question is has the enclosure the original drive in it? It's a used drive or a brand new one (sealed)?
