Wash new discs with warm soapy water and dry it carefully with a lint-free cloth.

If this doesn't help, flash it to BU40N 1.03MK and try again.

Is there the "Initio Default Controller" in the device manager? If so uninstall it and check the drive recognition again.

Yes, you can flash it to 1.03MK and all will be fine.

Not yet, the firmware date is to new. No downgrade possible if newer than November 2022.
