Re: Subtitle Removal?

Obviously if they were "embedded" permanently you wouldn't get rid of them. AFAIR the Tower Heist subs are not hardcoded so you can simply turn them off. Current version of MakeMKV (1.7.4) sets default to off so any proper program would not show them automatically.

MultiMakeMKV: batch processing for MakeMKV (Win)

While discussing MakeMKV here and elsewhere I'd occasionally mentioned that I was using a modified version of my MultiShrink script to batch encode BDs with MakeMKV. In the meantime several people have contacted me about this. Thus I've decided to give it a little polish and upload it for anyone's u...

Re: PGS Subtitles MakeMKV & Handbrake

I don't use Handbrake but there appears to be something off with MakeMKV's forced sub recognition. I always rip main movie only with DVDFab to HDD keeping all English and German streams (I always check forced only too). Then I use MakeMKV and remux again with MKVToolnix (since WDTV does not support ...

Re: How to tell which title is which episode of TV series?

Especially as the 'previously on' can spoil an ep when you're accidentally 2 or so eps ahead.

Re: MI:4 Ghost Protocol Subtitles Question

If you just want forced subs why would you check 6 boxes instead of the 3 forced only? The fact that subs don't show up in Handbrake is no MakeMKV problem. Don't why people don't switch to alternatives like Staxrip, Ripbot, MeGUI...

Re: MI:4 Ghost Protocol Subtitles Question

Now, it seems like to get Subs only to show up when non-English parts (for example the intro Russian scenes) when spoken in Russian, I pretty much have to just try each English tickbox to see if it's enabled, correct? Nope, you just have to read the FAQ (as every other first time user) and understa...

REQ: Add option to auto-create output folder

Would be nice to have an advanced option checkbox that when ticked would automatically create an output folder if it does not exist. Also, how about being able to open a movie dir without having to dive down into Bdmv subdir to find the bdmv.info? Thx.

In case you're ripping the German version too, check out these proper chapter titles.

I'm just wondering why using the report button does not seem to trigger any kind of response.

You've been writing several of these posts. So when are the mods finally gonna do something about it?

Standalones usually present less info so having the stream name displayed is not always redundant.

Re: Hardcoded subs missing

Are you saying to do a bluray rip via makemkv, selecting every english sub shown and then its a process of elimination until you get the right one? Not necessarily. If the streams are properly authored you need to check each "forced only" checkbox and usually end up with the one forced st...
