can be yeah 25% of my desktop drive were defective right out of the box thats why i stopped selling those. i only do BU40N now Well, that's frustrating... F&G discs are brand new.
Even tried old discs that are blemish free that I've ripped in the past and got the same initial speed boost but then back down to a slow crawl.
Drive can be that bad already? It's 4 days old.
