Update: My disk was a netflix disk so I sent it back as damaged and they sent a new one and it worked fine. Maybe just crappy materials/process on this movie.

Is there a description of what this does somewhere? I have a WDTV and current rip MKVs with the default profile and then use handbrake to convert it to a m4v for use on the WDTV. Wondering if this new profile aids that process in some way.

Disc backs up fine. However, when I try to open the disc from the backup it crashes at the same spot (right after scanning the structure).

No, it crashes as soon as it's done scanning the disc.
