Thanks for the helpful info Reiver. I made the change from 12 to 10 in my .xml profile and it did apply to my test output. Hex editing the appdata.tar is way over my head though...
(update: I did it with HxD, not really that difficult)

Re: FLAC Quality selection????
Thanks, I finally figured it out. Not sure though why "flac-fast" remains the default, the minimal CPU overhead of "flac-best" shouldn't be a problem in 99% of cases today.

Re: FLAC Quality selection????
Hello everyone, I'll revive this since there've been some changes I couldn't figure out. The flac.mmcp.xml file is now inside appdata.tar. What I did: extracted appdata.tar, edited flac.mmcp.xml accordingly (flac-fast to flac-best, where applicable), recompressed all extracted files as appdata.tar a...

Re: FLAC 24bit to 16bit removing zeros + audio delays
It's been almost 3 years since this thread began and I wonder how valid the need for implementing is. Storage has gotten larger and cheaper, and the thought of manipulating or re-processing an audio stream just seems like an additional step that could potentially lead to problematic playback or fil...

Re: FLAC 24bit to 16bit removing zeros + audio delays
Hi, just wanted to ask if this has been implemented and if so, whether it has been tested successfully. Thanks for your excellent work on MakeMKV! The full track analysis is a no-go for MakeMKV, as it converts in a single pass. However I do see the value of this feature. I'm thinking of an approach ...

Fails to display some DVD titles
MakeMKV fails to list all titles on some discs. In this example, the 3 missing titles' durations are: 1:02:30 20:34 (min:sec) (not to be confused with the visible Source title ID: 7) 20:45 (min:sec) The other 3 titles are visible. They are actually alternative (colourised) versions of the same films...

Feature request: accept .mpls playlist files
This will allow for processing of separate BD titles, that are merged in BD discs (deleted scenes for example - MakeMKV will only see the "Play All" playlist).

Re: Feature Request:Flac Audio Conversion
+1 for FLAC for MakeMKV. However, I've noticed that sometimes (not too often, but it happens), when I use eac3to to demux video, audio, subtitles and convert to FLAC at the same time, the final mkv output can be corrupt (playback stops at specific points). I am not sure what causes this, but with FL...

Re: Feature Request "Output Filename"
This would be great and very helpful with TV series discs for example, since they have many titles. It's not very nice to have a folder with title02, title03 etc. because it's time consuming having to figure out which is which.

Re: Seamless branching with MKV
I've successfully created seamless branching MKV-files of Blade Runner International theatrical, US theatrical and Director's cut, using eac3to and mkvmerge. One of the mkv-files contain the entire US theatrical cut, and is about 21GB. The other two contains just the parts that are unique to that v...
