Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
anyone seen any weird drastic brightness "flickering" after HDR10+ to DV? So far it's only on Nomadland, but both me an a friend converted it separately and have the same result. Basically the scene is panning across and it jumps up and down brightness dramatically in the DV version for a ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Replying to clarify it is SMTP 2094 App 4 Version 0 (not 1 or 2). Option 3-1-1 (HDR10+ or madVR) is failing: File doesn't contain dynamic metadata, stopping. Parsing HDR10+ JSON file... Error: The system cannot find the file specified. (os error 2) Press any key to continue . . . Then it tries to pa...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Ran into some files that have "SMPTE ST 2094 App 4" which is described as "It is a 3 point curve instead of a 10 point curve though. Essentially a pre-release version of HDR10+ Profile B." The script is not able to convert it to DV, and it fails entirely and won't generate via ma...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Thanks to you both, that did it.
Using mediainfo I gathered the correct FPS and added it in MKVToolnix to the default duration/FPS "23.976" (make sure you do this to ALL tracks by selecting them all first), didn't need to check the "fix bitstream timing info" box.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I asked before but don't think I got a reply: When using the scripts: Any ideas on how to fix when I get weird audio sync issues when making profile 5 to 8 hybrids? It happens often with WEB-DL films, less often with WEB-DL TV. They have the EXACT same duration. With MKVToolnix audio sync is crazily...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Assuming players are all Nvidia Shield, is there any benefit to converting P7 to P8?
The Shield discards the EL and plays back with RPU data when playing P7, which is nice. Does DoviScripts P7 to P8 conversion bring anything from the EL into the BL or is it discarded during conversion?

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
@RESET_9999 Thanks for the quick reply! Another issue (and I've spent time searching the forum via Google so sorry if this has been covered): When I do WEB-DL only hybrids i.e. both DV and HDR are from WEB-DLs, with most films I get audio that is wildly out of sync. TV shows have no issues, strangel...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Using Reset_9999's scripts and had some questions: How accurate is the conversion of HDR10plus to DV? Anything I can do to improve the conversion? I don't have an HDR10+ display to compare. Also, sometimes I end up with both an .hevc and a .bin file when using the script, etc. Do I need to do anythi...

Re: Dolby Vision x265 Encoding, DV Profile Advantages/Caveats?
Could I convert existing Profile 5 files to Profile 8.1 without losing anything? Would be nice for my mixed DV and non-DV household.
