Nice tip! dcoke22! I have a lens disc cleaner and will attempt to brush off the dust with it as I have same drive and exact rasping clanky sound issues that don't read Blu-Rays. My ----update---- is CD with brush didn't fix it and I now resorted to update firmware from SB00 to SB01 yet same disc has...

I can only help by saying I have the same drive and now it works with final firmware. I agree a concise list of procedures could make it easier. I'd say I followed the youtube video of cmd procedures to access drive and then maybe cross flashed it then I wrote the mk firmware? Thank You.
