Re: MKV Header Editing / Haali Problem
Thanks for the further reply. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I've reinstalled the latest Haali version. I've changed the default flags in the respective tracks to Yes and No as I want them but it still doesn't work (on any of my MKVs). Saving and then reopening the header editor shows the flags are ...

Re: MKV Header Editing / Haali Problem
Yes. Initially the lossless track doesn't have the default flag set to either Yes or No, though once I set the lossy track default to Yes the flag on the lossless track seems to auto change to Yes. However, even if I then change the lossless default flag to No it doesn't work (I've checked the flag ...

Re: MKV Header Editing / Haali Problem
Hi, thanks for the reply. I did wonder whether I should try the Gabest splitter again, though as I recall it doesn't give you the taskbar control that Haali does over chapters etc.. The only reason for sticking with 7MC is that I haven't come across any other media software that integrates live DVB ...

MKV Header Editing / Haali Problem
Hi, I'm converting a few BR to MKV with MakeMKV and in case I upgrade my amp/speakers at some point I want to keep the lossless TrueHD/DTS-MA audio as well as the standard lossy 3-channel DTS. Trouble is there is currently no option to order or set a default for the audio tracks in MakeMKV so the lo...

Re: Forced subtitles from DVD
Guys, you're right after all - DVDs do have forced flag on subtitles and MakeMKV ignores it. It'll be corrected likely in a next version. This is great news. After trying a few films there is actually a substantial minority with forced subs, even if it's only usually a couple of lines here and ther...

Re: Forced subtitles from DVD
Thanks for both replies
My experience is as Squeeky describes, at least for District 9 - there is no purely 'forced sub' track.
It sounds as though this is very much the exception that proves the rule, which I'm glad to hear. I'll give the workaround a go.
Cheers

Re: Forced Subtitles
I cannot find the 'Forced only' option for DVD subtitles, it only appears for Blu-ray. Is this a bug?

Forced subtitles from DVD
Hi, first of all great program which I've had perfect results with for full English DVDs (I'm not using Blu-ray at present due to limitations in my home network). However, when I try to create MKVs from DVDs such as District 9, where there is a lot of 'foreign' dialogue, I cannot get a situation whe...
