Re: BBC planet earth, 2/4 titles failed

A corrupt m2ts file, the next version of MakeMKV will have a workaround. For now you can make decrypted backup and play m2ts files. The decrypted backup worked fine, and had a very minor glitch near the end of the video (at roughly where the title copy failed). Question: Is the corrupt m2ts due to ...

Re: BBC planet earth, 2/4 titles failed

Hi! Have you played the originals to see if the same problem exists? My only BD player is the one I'm ripping from. :-( The goal is to RIP BDs I purchase onto my SageTV media server, and watch them via my SageTV media extenders. Last night, I realized that SageTV understands BD structure, so I used...

BBC planet earth, 2/4 titles failed

When attempting to save disc1 of BBC's planet earth, 2 of the 4 titles fail to save. Both behave exactly the same -- the rip proceeds normally until the title is 99.9% done, then it says there was an exception, and it failed to save the title. I have not yet tried the other 3 discs in this set. Here...

Re: Fails to read blu-ray disc

Your error messages look like what I get on Ubuntu when I do not run as root. Try running under sudo and see if that helps.

Re: Ubuntu 8.04: BD Decrypt fails when not root

Is your user a member of cdrom group? Yes -- see output from "groups" command in the above message. Other commands that access the cdrom (like eject, k9copy) work fine, that is why it is so strange. I've had this box for 2+ years now, and never had a problem ripping a dvd (using k9copy). ...

Ubuntu 8.04: BD Decrypt fails when not root

Hi, I just downloaded the linux version of makemkv. I'm having a problem on Ubuntu 8.04 where I cannot "open" the BD drive when running as myself. When running with sudo, it works fine. From the log: Debug log started at Fri Jul 30 16:50:14 2010 , written by MakeMKV v1.5.8 linux(x64-releas...
