mp4 STDL and chapters?

A few questions regarding the options after the first "4" (DoVi Profile 7 Input (MKV/BDMV)) if you don't mind, RESET_9999. It is possible for P7 mp4 to be STDL (IIRC the old Yusesope tool could do so), where BL and EL+RPU be interleaved in one hevc track. Is there a particular reason to wh...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Nice. Went flawless after clearing some path-related issues. Really feel like a blundering novice here.

Thanks a bunch for your quick response :D

STDL mkv --> DTDL mp4

It's been quite a while since using RESET_9999's scripts and I'm somewhat struggling with the current ones. My newbee apologies for asking.
Is it possible to convert a dovi P7 mkv (singletrack duallayer) into a P7 dualtrack-duallayer mp4 file? If so, can someone tell me which steps in what script?

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Seeing difference between FEL and MEL/Profile 8/recodes and really enjoying it are two different things indeed. To be able to assess, first off you must be able to see FEL in its full glory, which I think very few of us can do. It takes a native 12 bit screen in the first place and its ability to di...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Hi all,

Has anyone experienced the NOKIA Streaming Box 8010 regarding Dolby Vision and audio output?

Re: Lossy loseless audio?

To my knowledge dvd can't carry DTS-HD MA. Maybe OP is talking about dts. Dts is lossy, so converting dts to FLAC will still be lossy compared to the master-audio where dts was derived from. But lossless compared to the dts track itself, as @Rojma rightly stated.

My version of this movie has 16 chapters, so I'd guess this is the one. Hope this helps.

Re: How do you watch MKV files that have an ATMOS track?

Quote from the DP-UB420 manual @ HDMI Advanced settings: To enjoy BD-Video that supports Dolby Atmos® or DTS:X® Connect this unit to an AV amplifier or similar device that supports it with an HDMI cable, and select the following settings: – Dolby Audio: “Bitstream” – DTS/DTS-HD: “Bitstream” – BD-Vid...

Re: How do you watch MKV files that have an ATMOS track?

For playing TrueHD with Atmos you need an Atmos decoder, be it onboard a tv, soundbar or surround processor/AVR. If Atmos isn't supported, you need at least a TrueHD encoder for the 2D flatbed part. I'm guessing your bluray player is capable of bitstreaming the Atmos track over HDMI though. FYI (UHD...

Re: DTS HDMA audio muxing question

So my understanding now is that wav is a PCM stream and w64 supports the large file size (this one is 8Gb once decompressed) but I can mux as flac if my decoder supports it. Correct. I only use my Denon AVR as a hardware decoder, and I know it handles flac May I ask how you feed FLAC from a videofi...

Re: Anybody had much luck playing 4K UHD and 1080p Blu-Ray rips on Samsung QLEDS?

First off, I have no experience with Samsung QLED. And luck may be something you've got your own hand in. As a general advice and to reduce disappoinments, first read the manual on network playback possibilities and incapabilities. Which containers, audio and video codecs are supported. Maybe types ...

Re: aspect ratio

...the viewing aspect ratio isnt the same as the dvd. With dvd, sd video is "anamorphic" (both for 4:3 and 16:9 btw). I.e., pixels aren't square. In dvd, a AR flag is set to tell a player how to handle it. Matroska container doesn't have an aspect ratio flag, but instead carries values fo...

Re: DTS HDMA audio muxing question

I never even considered that the player would decode, but of course it would. Well, that's something you'd have to try out. There are (older) players that don't decode (multichannel) FLAC. For lossless compressing into BD compliant audio you'd need either the DTS-HD Encoder Suite or Dolby Media Enc...
