Okay, I've managed to rip another DVD. The memory usage stayed around 80% even after the job. I had to quit the GUI to free up the memory. I'm trying to rip another one, to see if it crashes this time as well.

Something is terribly wrong here. Do you see the same behavior if you use latest version 1.5.8 from command line makemkvcon info disc:0 or makemkvcon mkv disc:0 all /tmp I thought that there was no difference, but I rebooted to free up some memory and restarted a rip. Hi there! Love the program, I'll definately buy this when I get myself a BD-rom. However, it's still very buggy under Linux. I've managed to rip one movie, and then it started to crash.
