I've downloaded two trial versions of other software programs. Pavtube Blu-ray Ripper, and Tipard Blu-ray to MKV Converter.

Both programs work on the disk.

I had to cancel both conversions because of their trial version limitations.

The HD video was captured to a .ts file using a Hauppauge HD-PVR and Total Media Extreme software. I then used TSMuxer to create the BD folders (Mode 1 / 2048, UDF 2.50), and Imgburn for burning. Yep, the disk plays fine with VLC.

I ripped the disk to my hard drive with no problems, and MakeMKV still failed to convert it from there.
