Finally finished ripping a couple days ago! Some stats for my rips: 9 disks required "U2=-;U3=-" speed control settings (S5D4, S6D2, S6D3, S6D4, S7D1, S7D2, S8D2, S8D3, S8BonusD2) 2 discs required "U2=8;U3=8" speed control settings (S4D3, S5D2) 2 discs worked on my LG BU40N (DE 1...

I've having similar trouble with my drive as well (ASUS BW-16D1HT firmware 3.10). It takes quite a few attempts for the drive to recognize that the disc is inserted. EDIT: After quite a few more reinserts, it's able to detect the disc and proceed much further than before (without making weird noises!)
