Re: Profile parsing error: Specified conversion filter (68:A

Sorry to point out the obvious, but this error still exists. Even specifying the default that shipped with MakeMKV using the --profile option on the commandline fails on Mac OS X Mavericks. EDIT: Upon further inspection, it first complains that it has a parsing error just after the version informati...

Feature Request: Max Length or Multiple Titles

When ripping many TV DVDs, there is often a play all title that is much longer. Currently, there is no way to tell makemkvcon to avoid this title or to list the titles you do want. This means that the overhead of rescanning the disc is necessary to pull the titles individually if using makemkvcon. P...

Oz the Great and Powerful - 3 titles

Anyone already determined which is the true title?

It would appear to be 800.mpls, 801.mpls or 802.mpls but it is not clear which might be it.

Re: DTS Lossless Audio & Handbrake

Of course you can also mux in the lossless track your self with mkvmerge(gui) after handbrake has encoded it. http://www.bunkus.org/videotools/mkvtoolnix/ Its one more step, but if your equipment supports it... then go for it! Also if you feel up to it I have written a small guide that details both...

Re: The RipMonster Project - (Take 20 something)

I built the storage server on unRaid and used my own scripts to post-process my makemkv rips with HandBrakeCLI. Rips go to a cache drive on the storage server. At night they are moved onto the parity-protected array. Each night, a cron job looks for movies that have not been transcoded (with HB) on ...

Re: Post-processing recommendations after ripping with makem

Mathematically, no. But it's possible to re-encode to a smaller file with a quality loss small enough as to be imperceptible. HandBrake can take your MKV and output an MKV, passing the audio and subtitles through while re-encoding the video to H.264 (will take a while though). Things are a bit more...

Re: Command line use / scripting with MakeMKV

Under Linux you can get simple task queueing using task spooler (ts). It is not in the common repositories but is easy enough to build. The "main title" rip of most films can be achieved by setting a minimum title length. Setting it to 3600 ensures that all ripped titles have a minimum len...

Re: Ripping BD with MakeMKV on Atom/Zacate

I have a Plextor USB BD-ROM attached to an atom system (Acer Revo 3610, dual core atom, 2 GB RAM). This machine handles makemkv and makemkvcon (which I prefer) easily and write to an unRaid server at speeds between 11-15 MB/s (not Mbps) under most circumstances. This little box runs XBMC Live (best ...

Re: How to totally automate MakeMKV

I just wanted to chime in to say you are not the only makemkvcon user with an unraid setup. I just built my box and have automated everything further down the workflow.

I will be trying to get makemkvcon to work under unraid now.

Feature Request - More Commandline Parameters

Many of us use only makemkvcon and would like the ability to pick only forced subtitles, core audio and/or specify a list of titles. This is especially important for headless servers where makemkv (even running remotely through X) would put a significant drain on resources.

Re: Command line paramters for makemkvcon(64)

I've seen no update on this. Just the ability to pull only DTS core audio and only forced subs would be a vast improvement.

Re: Command line paramters for makemkvcon(64)

Many of us do not use MakeMKV, but only makemkvcon. Without using the GUI (for a number of reasons), we cannot give a list of titles to rip, include only forced subtitles, or describe which audio streams to include.
