Re: WP50NB40 cross flashed to BP60NB10 won't read UHD Disc
It was just a dirty sensor! Guess the hundreds of opening and closing I did over the past couple months added just enough dust to cause the issue.

Re: WP50NB40 cross flashed to BP60NB10 won't read UHD Disc
i have not had any 5.25 pioneers fail other than shipping damage Got the replacement disc, no luck with it. Before I go and buy another drive, is it possible that WP50NB40 (NB52) on BP60NB10 (BP60NB10 1.00_HBD firmware) can't read this newer (made in 2023) UHD disc because of the firmware? Would a ...

Re: WP50NB40 cross flashed to BP60NB10 won't read UHD Disc
Do the pioneers have a better design for the ribbon cable where it doesn't break from wearing down because it is folded? I had a different drive do that on me. This isn't exhibiting the failure signs that that one did though.

Re: WP50NB40 cross flashed to BP60NB10 won't read UHD Disc
show the drive info did you flash it correctly? I assume so, it has worked for the couple hundred discs I have put in it so far (with at least 10-20 being UHD). Drive Information OS device name: R: Current profile: BD-ROM Manufacturer: HL-DT-ST Product: BD-RE BP60NB10 Revision: 1.00 Serial number: ...

Re: WP50NB40 cross flashed to BP60NB10 won't read UHD Disc
Post the Makemkv error messages. The disc might not yet be supported. If so, send in the .tgz created and in the meantime try this: https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=32784 The disc doesn't even load in the OS (Windows 11, and Arch Linux were tested) so there are no MakeMKV er...

[Solved - Dirty Sensor] WP50NB40 cross flashed to BP60NB10 won't read UHD Disc
I am trying to read Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny UHD on my WP50NB40 cross flashed to BP60NB10 v1.00 firmware.
It doesn't open the disc at all.
This is the only UHD disc I have had issues with on this drive, the non-UHD disc version was read fine.
Should I just ask for a replacement disc?

Re: libmmbd.dll crash with Handbrake
I had the exact same problem It's getting hung up on smaller meaningless titles in handbrake change the minimum title length from 10seconds to 600seconds (10min) it will sail right through it and work again I don't see this option. It also only happens when I start the encode. Edit: Fixed it by man...

Re: BU40N failing?
Figured the issue out. Looks like the ribbon cable providing power and data is failing. When the tray is open it connects fine and when it is closed it disconnects. Now I will see if I can find a new ribbon cable.

BU40N failing?
I have a BU40N that was working great for the past few days as I was ripping a UHD box set. I ran into a scratched disc in the set and it seems to have triggered something. After ripping the next UHD blu-ray after skipping the scratched one because it failed to rip, my BU40N basically fails to power...

BU40N W/ slimline adapter disconnecting
I bought a HLDS BU40N and have been using it in the Vantec enclosure, recently the drive stopped showing up in the enclosure. To test if it was the enclosure vs the drive I bought a slimline adapter (Amazon - CRJ SATA Power 15-Pin Male to SATA 6-Pin Slimline Sleeved Power Adapter Cable) so I can plu...

Re: Men in Black backup fails to make decrypted backup
I get a similar error and I went and ripped the drive instead of backup and found that it is a specific title which it skips: Error when saving: DEBUG: Code 0 at *0,;c\PL0:J=9lq%:213140472 DEBUG: Code 0 at "YUaD@ooUA^hBfH;-:121263613 DEBUG: Code 0 at Vh_?F0ugBjm==LP;:29406166 DEBUG: Code 0 at V...
