Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Has anyone here been able to create a Single Track Dual Layer MEL MKV for 1917 which works on plex as expected? I have tried creating: MEL with HDR10Plus using GAMMA MEL without HDR10Plus using GAMMA MEL with HDR10Plus using BETA MEL without HDR10Plus using BETA All these files play correctly but Pl...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Try doing it without the audio track. In the second command window, remove the "-map 1:2". That did the trick for me. [M2TSMux] Packet CTS 20020 is less than packet DTS 40040, adjusting all CTS by 40040 / 480000! [hevc @ 000001c90fae4880] Skipping NAL unit 63 Last message repeated 17 time...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I can't seem to make a proper MEL mkv for 1917 using either gamma or beta. The generated mkv runs fine on MPC-HC but not on PLEX on my Sony X90H TV (The files starts playing from the start but I cant seek it forward as it gets stuck in endless loading trying to seek the file forward). I have done F...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Yeah, but if you need a mkv at the end, I found with quite a few titles that the Dolby vision layers / dual video tracks end up out of sync with beta - which is a lot worse than the audio :P making mkv using makemkv right ? after demuxing the MEL BL_EL_RPU file and muxing them in tsmuxer to iso? ho...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
using the v0.0.4_BETA_TEST_17102020 method for movies with truehd audio seems to work for now. It is a much longer process than v0.0.4_GAMMA_07112020 but no audio delay issues with truehd audio. Yeah, but if you need a mkv at the end, I found with quite a few titles that the Dolby vision layers / d...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Edit: Manually setting audio delay of around 170ms seems to fix the issue but this shouldn't be happening right? Is there a solution for this? Or has this happened due to something I did wrong? It's not your fault. FFmpeg can rarely fail to perfectly sync my video with the audio in the chosen file....

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
It's not your fault. FFmpeg can rarely fail to perfectly sync my video with the audio in the chosen file. I don't know how you solved it (there are so many ways), the easiest for me is to use the -itsoffset switch inside the second command. -itsoffset must be placed before the second input (i.e. th...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
The weekend has come! It's time to experiment! HERE (UPDATE 22/10/20) you can find what I was working on last weekend. This is v0.0.4 GAMMA "only for the brave" edition! It is a partial job, there is no guarantee that it will work, but first of all I have to understand if I am proceeding ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Maybe in all these files we are just getting HDR10 with dynamic metadata. I know for a fact that original Dual Track DV on the Oppo203 is better than any rip played back via an Android player that I have seen. You can think about STDL version as Schrödinger's Dolby Vision - It's equal and unequal t...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Testing that should be pretty easy I guess? Just take comparison photographs in a pitch black room on a good tv. Comparing FEL file vs MEL file for the same movie? Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I have been trying a lot of sample files posted here on my new sony bravia x90h tv. It can play basically all MEL files (mp4/ts/mkv) and all profile8.1 files but havent been able to find a way to get any FEL file trigger dolby vision, is it simply not possible to play FEL files on sony tvs without e...
