Re: Ripping Dolby Atmos into MKV
Yes it should definitely be worked on in future updates. For the time being, you can try demuxing the audio of problematic titles with DGDemux and mux it back into the MakeMKV result file via MKVToolNix. Sometimes that produces better results for seamless branching discs.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Okay then, I guess the MKV as it came out of MakeMKV is as good as the one processed with MKVToolNix, as the DV data is not altered. I'm not planning on converting to other DV profiles. Actually, this is not true for the latest MKVToolNix version: https://gitlab.com/mbunkus/mkvtoolnix/-/issues/3093...

Re: Blu-rays with extra video in m2ts files
There are obviously not so few Blu-rays which have this behavior. Only a fracture of the ones out in the wild will have ended up in this thread. I had the problem with the UK release of Wolf Creek S1 as mentioned in another thread . MakeMKV should implement the proper editing, or at the very least n...

Re: website down?
Buying still not possible, Mike Admin's last post almost a month ago and "last active" doesn't indicate anything. Does anyone know if everything's okay with the project or the dev himself?

Playlist files with timecodes?
I recently got hold of the OOP Eureka UK release of Season 1 of the Wolf Creek TV Series . When trying to rip it, I encountered something I have never seen before: Disc 1 houses the first three episodes. There are three playlists for the three episodes, which are all separate m2ts files. When rippin...

Re: Are AV synchronization issues a problem?
I too would like to know why it isn't handled this way. There is probably a good reason for it?!

As a side note you should be able to get nearly the all the metadata correct in MakeMKV at the time of ripping (ex...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Thank you for the link to MKVToolNix. So my toolflow should still work. What do you mean by "keeping the unedited rips" - keeping the MKVs as they came directly out of MakeMKV, or keeping a complete disc backup? If it's the first case: Does that mean you don't trust MKVToolNix / mkvmerge t...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Please forgive me for not reading 300+ pages, I'm sure it has all been discussed, but can someone please sum the DV situation up for me... I do not yet have the hardware (playback device, display) for DV, but I want to rip my UHDs in the best way possible and store them on my NAS. I will buy the pla...

MakeMKV Frame Skipping Accusation
Hello, I was researching the differences between different remux tools and came to the following site: https://encoding-guide.neocities.org/01-tools.html#anydvd-hd--dvdfab--makemkv It states: MakeMKV is not just a decrypter, but also a one shot remuxing tool. It’s not recommended to use this to crea...

I've bought an enclosed drive from Robin, and when I encountered problems with it, he immediately helped me out and made good for the issues. He also helped me via TeamViewer with the speed settings for my drives. We are still in contact about further details about the pros and cons of different dri...

Read out Read Speed from Command Line
Hi everyone, is it possible during a Blu-ray backup via makemkvcon (via command line) to somehow read out the current read speed? It is shown in the GUI, both in MB/s and multiple of normal Blu-ray read speed. My goal is after a backup is done to print a graph of the read speed over time. Any sugges...
