Re: LibreDrive for Pioneer drives
@coopervid No means no downgrade possible? Okay i'll understand that it is encrypted. My drive came with 1.05 so to bad. But libredrive should be possible so i hope mike will/can add it? Or will this never happen because of the encryption? This is what mike said on page 4 Re: LibreDrive for Pioneer ...

Re: LibreDrive for Pioneer drives
@mike I have a pioneer bdr-212-EBK with firmware 1.05.. You mentioned somewhere in this post that it might be possible to downgrade the firmware? If so how is that done? Screenshot_bdr-212m.png And my second question is can my drive be added to libredrive, it states possible but not enabled. I do ha...

Re: Using MakeMKV and VLC on MX Linux
install aribb24 or aribb25 in order for Vlc to be able to play bluray
Those file names can be different though (i use Arch Linux)
In vlc use file open disc and browse to the disk

Re: bluray playback with VLC
Search this forum..
All you need to do is install Aribb24
Reboot
After that vlc should play the disc, through file/open disc

Re: Segmentation fault on Arch Linux
@daren Well that is what i also want to know.. I have the feeling that mike is waiting for the big distro vendors to fix the problem, they have makemkv in their repo's and thus they are a distributing this software so they have to maintain it themselves What if find strange is that mike does respond...

Re: why makemkv cannot ignore read errors, like BluFab?
Please allow skipping of damaged parts of a disk or track. I couldn't agree more, this is a very annoying "feature" of makemkv.. This is asked multiple times on the forum and no solution. Best would be an option in settings: skip read errors and fill with blank sample. Another option woul...

Re: Segmentation fault on Arch Linux
I even thought about downgrading glibc, but everywhere I look warns that doing so can hose an entire system Don't do this, it will definitely break your system as this is in the core linux system! I'm using makemkv on a spare computer where i didn't update glibc, but it is enoying so i hope that mi...

Re: Segmentation fault on Arch Linux
You all have valid points about this project not being open source
It would be great if this project goes to github or others and have a proper issue tracker.
But i think that mike deliberate keeps everything to himself for legal punishments? makemkv isn't exactly legal so that may be the reason?

Re: Key dump submission process
@make: This could be a optional setting, check it if you want to submit unknown disks?
