Re: Asus BW-16D1HT Firmware crashes? Faulty drive?
I have somewhat a similar problem. For me, it fails with only Disc 1 of 3 in UHD. First I tought it might be only "MEDIUM ERROR or "corrupt or invalid at offset" errors", but after cleaning the disc thoroughly and it working fine in the player at the TV I'm not so sure anymore. B...

Re: Error while ripping UHD-Disc
Unfortunatly only the player for the TV which has no problems as I stated :/
Ripping Disc 2 of the show is no problem, so it must be something pyhsical with Disc 1.
I will see if I can get it to work with your suggestion of cleaning...
Would be a huge bummer if only Disc 1 fails -.-

Re: Check before flash operation
Jep, I was just very afraid to brick my drive
Flashed without any problems and right now I'm at the first BD which is "only" FHD.
Later on there are some with UHD and HDR (Dolby Vision).
Curious if this works without problems

Re: Check before flash operation
So I can directly flash the mentioned FW without downgrading first to another one?
I'm a bit confused about the different flash manuals...

Check before flash operation
Hi Guys, I'm new to all of this, so I just wanted to know if I have everything put together correctly so that the flashing works afterwards and I don't brick my optical drive. So, this is what I have: - Optical BD-Drive ASUS BW-16D1HT - USB-Enclosure: RaidSonic Icy Box IB-550STU3S - latest MKV-SW wh...
