Exactly, no additional steps....

I use XBMC on my HTPC, and then just use Powerdvd 12 as a external player. I haven't had any issues with this yet, and it plays these mkv's in 3d perfectly.

I am really unsure what you are requesting here, because I have the exact setup you describe. I have 2 HTPCS both running XBMC. One uses hdmi out to a receiver that fully supports DTS-HD and TrueHD. Okay so figured it out... Set the date back on your computer a week or so... Then goto that link three posts up to the key that is good till August 2010, and copy it... Open MakeMKV, it should open this time, it did on mine, then go up to the top and select Help, Then Register, and paste the key in....
