Re: Official Dolby Vision MKV spec support
Are you sure the Shield and TV are both on the same display profiles (Cinema Home, Cinema Dark, Technicolor, etc)? Yep, this is the first place I would look. Also, make sure the settings on these profiles are the same as its likely you are using different inputs here (ie Netflix on TV vs Shield). Y...

Re: Official Dolby Vision MKV spec support
I have a worse problem than that 'red push'. I have the Shield Pro 2019 as well and the latest Plex installed. When I get DV playback on the Shield Pro / Plex, seems there are two ‘modes’. One is brighter than the other. And the dimmer one looks very dark. Not even HDR lvl, with Dynamic Tone Mapping...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.3
After testing for a few days and playing back certain scenes (Black Panther - T'Challa vs M'Baku) like a million times, I got the color and brightness down on some scenes. And I'm absolutely certain that the MP4 I created using the DV Mp4muxer method (direct play through TV), looks brighter than the...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.3
Reboot the app - kill the app process and then start the app again - fixed the problem for me. It seems that the Plex Android client app caches playback setting of files previously played (that is my guess). Renaming the mkv file name also works. Yeah also thought of this one, since there are days ...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.3
Hello everyone, newbie here. When I play the new DV MKVs by 1.15.3 with the Shield, there's inconsistency. Sometimes it is direct playing DV and lossless Atmos / DTS:X fine, sometimes it is transcoding. And it gets worse -- when I play a DV file then switch to an HDR one then back to a DV file, it w...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Still can't get it to work even with other m2ts files (tried Black Panther and Justice League). I have Visual Studio 2019 installed and not 2010 though. Would that matter? First input file is the bigger file, second one is the DV layer, third one is ac3 audio. The rest I copied from OP. Doesn't wor...
