Is there a way for me to use LibreDrive in my own software to directly read from disks?

Specifically I'm curious if I can write an application to rip my GameCube/Wii/Wii U games.

Hello! I recently bought a used WH14NS40 (Manufactured Nov. 2012, had firmware v1.00, info label pic attached)

I foolishly flashed the WH14NS40-NS50 firmware (linux):
# sdftool -d /dev/sr0 rawflash -i /tmp/HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_WH14NS40-NS50-1.05-NM00900-212005061444.bin

That, of course, soft bricked ...
