Hi,
Just curious... when retaining forced subtitles, is a 'forced track flag' option being used, like in mkvmerge?
Thanks

Re: Problem - tsMuxer Created Structures
Hi Mike, This is wierd! I've just re-encoded the video from Avatar using RipBot264 (to h264 again of course!). I ran that video, plus original audio and subs through tsmuxer and outputted as BD disc. Ran that through makemkv and it didn't fail outright like normal! However now got the bloody problem...

Re: Problem - tsMuxer Created Structures
That's really strange. I've seen some that work fine (Casino Royale... H.264/TrueHD version), and some that fail (Avatar).
Have you tested Avatar. That one definately fails.

Re: Problem - tsMuxer Created Structures
Thanks for doing this, guys. I see two bugs: 1) Missing AccesUnit NALs in H264 stream: result - failure at the very beginning only on mpeg-4 video. Cause yet unknown. 2) Mismatched number of packets in DTS/DTS-HD stream. MakeMKV tries to reconstruct last DTS-HD frame as core+extension, fails to get...

Re: Feature Request... Retain TrueHD 'AC3 Core'
I am really unsure what you are requesting here, because I have the exact setup you describe. I have 2 HTPCS both running XBMC. One uses hdmi out to a receiver that fully supports DTS-HD and TrueHD. The other is hooked up to a receiver via Optical/Toslink. The one with HDMI to the receiver plays ev...

Re: Problem - tsMuxer Created Structures
Cheers Mike, it's great you guys have found the problems. HAve you guys any suspicions as to what is causing the missing AccesUnit NALs? Could it be AnyDVD or tsmuxer? SamuriHL, I backed up Avatar with AnyDVD. I'm away for a week on Holiday so can't test with another backup tool for a while. Can you...

Re: Problem - tsMuxer Created Structures
Well, both the 1 sec cut and downconvert to ac3/dts works for vc1 (haven't tested mpeg2 yet). However, here's where i'm gonna throw a spanner in the works! Can't get h.264 vids to work all, regardless of using 10 sec sample, 1 sec cut, or audio downconvert. Tested multiple discs. It fails outright. ...

Re: Problem - tsMuxer Created Structures
Hang on, i've already mentioned that h.264 still fails! Ok, forget what i said about vc1 and mpeg2 vid being ok. This is getting weirder by the minute... I i run a VC1 or Mpeg2 backup (on HDD) through tsmuxer, remove unwanted audio, subs, etc, then output as BD disc. Run that output through MakeMKV ...

Re: Problem - tsMuxer Created Structures
Hey SamuriHL,
Just tried a VC1 vid using the 1 sec cut fix and it worked, however then tried a h.264 vid and it failed outright as usual. Can you test and confirm?
Thanks

Re: Problem - tsMuxer Created Structures
setarip_old, If you read one of my firsts posts, you will see i HAVE tried MakeMKV to decrypt and backup, then tsmuxer. I got the problem. I've decrypting with MakeMKV, DVDFab, AnyDVD... you name it, i've used it. I got the same problems no matter what backup tool i used. As for inconsistent results...

Re: Problem - tsMuxer Created Structures
This is really weird... every vc1 or mpeg2 disc i've testing is working fine. It's just appears to be h.264 vids.
I'll uploads a few more h.264 samples for you to check the access unit headers.
Thanks

Re: Problem - tsMuxer Created Structures
No, i just left tsmuxer settings as default. Is the fact that the access unit headers are missing causing the problem? Is it poss that tsmuxer is removing the access unit headers? It can't be anydvd removing them as i get same if i backup with dvdfab or makemkv. I'll uploads some more samples later ...

Ah, ok! Damn!! Mind you, I did only do two vc1 tests.
Hi Mike,
How did the sample behave at your end?
Cheers
