Cheers mate

Re: Problem - tsMuxer Created Structures
OK, done some more testing. The sample i uploaded had H.264 vid. Just tested a bd backup (HP6) that has gone through tsmuxer, that has VC1 vid and it worked fine! Tested another that has MPEG2 vid (Kingdon Of Heaven) and it failed, sitting at zero time remaining without saving. Tested another that h...

Re: Problem - tsMuxer Created Structures
Actually, it might have been backed up in full to my HDD, then run through tsmuxer... can't remember now! Either way, it straight from the disc. No re-encoding or anything.
Cheers

Re: Problem - tsMuxer Created Structures
No, that was straight from the blu-ray (Avatar), decrytped on the fly with anydvd, and run through tsmuxer stripping out all unwanted audio and subs, then outputted as the 10 sec sample in question.
Thanks

Re: Feature Request... Retain TrueHD 'AC3 Core'
Thanks for the info Mike. Is that a physical limitation of mkv (regarding one stream per track), or a spec limitation?
Just wondering how come the new smm muxer on test over at doom9 retains the 2 streams per one track in the mkv files it creates.
Thanks again.

Re: Problem - tsMuxer Created Structures
Hi Mike,
Was that sample ok? I think that particular sample throws up an error straight away, as opposed to sitting at zero time remaining and not completing.
Thanks

Re: Forced Subs...
Thanks for the info MilesAhead.
I usually use BDSup2Sub to export as IDX/SUB.

Re: Feature Request... Retain TrueHD 'AC3 Core'
In the end, what i'm trying to figure out is why (using ffdshow for instance) i can bitstream AC3 from a TrueHD file within an m2ts container, but can't bitstream AC3 from a TrueHD file within an mkv container (created with either MakeMKV or MKVMerge)? I know mkv's created with the new SMM muxer (ov...

Forced Subs...
hi,
What format are subs, and more to the point forced subs, saved as when creating an mkv?
Is it IDX/SUB format, where the sub font, etc is retained (like on Avatar and the navi subs/font)?
Thanks!

Re: Feature Request... Retain TrueHD 'AC3 Core'
For me to! I was on the right track in that there is something that enables AC3 bitstreaming from a TrueHD file, just thought it was a core! Software decoders like ffdshow must use the metadata then to downmix the TrueHD to AC3, as when playing an m2ts containing only TrueHD, i can get ffdshow to bi...

Re: Feature Request... Retain TrueHD 'AC3 Core'
AC3 your are "seeing" is simply metadata telling it to downmix within the TrueHD stream. There is no AC3 core like you say although technically an AC3 track could be "carried independently" (NOT WITHIN TRUEHD stream). There simply isn't a need as all TrueHD receivers are capable...

Re: Feature Request... Retain TrueHD 'AC3 Core'
Hey Mike, You said MakeMKV just copies the TrueHD track as is. I'll run another test using a MakeMKV mkv containing ONLY the TrueHD track and see if i get TrueHD over HDMI and AC3 over optical. It maybe that i'm mistaken, and the TrueHD track produced by MakeMKV does keep the AC3 core. I'm sure i'v...
