Re: Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
KeyDB Helper should have caught that and displayed a message about it. Granted, it's an experimental feature I added but in theory it should have been able to check.

Clean the disc. I don't care if it "looks clean". Clean the disc.

Re: Can't decrypt iso with keydb
I thought libredrive would be enabled "automatically" since the firmware is flashed. So I need to use makemkvcon for this? In addition to what's said above, you didn't flash LibreDrive. You flashed a firmware that ALLOWS LibreDrive to be enabled. There's a HUGE difference here. LibreDrive...

Re: Can't decrypt iso with keydb
I'm not sure why no one is talking about bus encryption, but that is what you are running into. Blu-ray may or may not be bus encrypted which is why reading directly with ddrescue might work. But ALL UHD is bus encrypted. If you don't enable libredrive BEFORE creating the ISO, it will be useless. Th...
Re: UHD FAQ
I just released a new KeyDB Helper 1.0.2.1. Nothing earth shattering it's just a few bug fixes and some formatting changes. When FindVUK encounters a new drive during validate, it can hang and it'll never recover. That's been fixed. When keydb.cfg is locked by a running findvuk process, it'll now ki...

Re: Tron Ares 4K dump
It's not attached. You'd have to host it somewhere and post a link. The forum won't allow attachments over a certain size.

Re: UHD FAQ
* Added experimental feature to detect discs with an AACS directory that are not actually encrypted That last one may or may not work. I have no way of testing it as I have no discs like that in my collection. But it'll give you a message during the Disc Info feature if it detects that situation. I...
Re: UHD FAQ
You moved it to a directory it doesn't have access to write to. You can't do that.

Re: UHD FAQ
How about now? Anything changed with regarding to free time? I would like to add to my previous request. Could you add a configurable list of paths to do this copy to? I have seen other apps that put the kayDB.cfg file at different paths. Wish....granted. New and improved! KeyDB Helper 1.0.2.0 has ...

Don't listen to ChatGPT. It has no idea what it's talking about. Flash your drive and post a newly generated image.

Re: Tron Ares 4K dump
The public keydb is a separate mechanism for obtaining keys. MakeMKV has its own process, however, if you drop a KEYDB.cfg file in the data directory (where the tgz files are created that you email in) it can ALSO use that as a source of keys.

Re: Tron Ares 4K dump
If you're on Windows you can use my tool which is a front end for FindVUK. That will allow you to see information about your discs and also keep the KeyDB sync'd and installed where MakeMKV can use it.
