Re: UHD FAQ
I don't have time right now. It's really not my problem to fix as Nalor really needs to deal with it either on his server or in FindVUK.
Re: UHD FAQ
FindVUK and their server problem, not a KeyDB Helper issue.boguslecina wrote: ↑Sat Mar 07, 2026 11:59 amHey. Does KeyDB Helper sync the entire file from scratch every time for you too? It used to only sync fragments of the file, but now it syncs the entire file at a very slow speed.

Re: Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
Odd and supremely unhelpful. It doesn't get them the help they desire and just wastes time.

Re: HashCheck Error on some UHD backups
Don't know what to tell you. Hash Check errors are because the data wasn't read correctly from the disc. So it's either a disc issue or a drive issue.

Re: HashCheck Error on some UHD backups
Clean the discs. Hash check failures means the data wasn't read correctly off the disc.

Re: Now You See Me- Now You Don't
Is your page down? Getting 503 when going to it. Not sure what you mean by "your page". If you mean the findvuk page where the keydb is hosted, I have nothing to do with it. But from what I understand it's hosted on a free account that is subject to maintenance and frequent down time. I n...

Thanks!keydb_helper wrote: ↑Tue Feb 17, 2026 9:50 pmThe 64EE variant of Now You See Me: Now You Don't has been added to the public keydb.
Grab the latest keydb.cfg and drop it in your MakeMKV data directory and you're good to go. I'm ripping it now as we speak.

Re: Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
Ok so when I tried to run this from the MakeMKV console, I thought this meant that since the Host Keys automatic download failed that it was looking al the KEYDB.cfg file instead. If this is not the case, I'm going to try to get this work on my Windows machine instead. Additionally to what you were...

Re: Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
Ok thanks for the feedback. I placed the file in the correct directory and now and it is seeing it, but I'm still getting the same error. Then when I reviewed the Disc ID entry it says "NOTVALIDATED". Could this be the issue? That has nothing to do with it. But I'm telling you right now, ...

Re: Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
MakeMKV isn't finding your keydb.cfg file. You need to know what the data directory is defined as and put the keydb.cfg in that directory. Sometimes it needs to be named KEYDB.cfg as on Linux case is not optional.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Yeah, if the HDFury device reports 12-bit, I trust that more than LG’s reporting. On my end, CEC no longer works when I put my Vertex in the signal chain, so I don’t use it in my main home theater. I only keep one in my capture and testing rig. In any case, 422 doesn’t really matter to me since I o...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
This isn't true. 422 12 bit works just fine. I don't care what the LG claims.
