Re: MakeMKV won't decrypt disc with KEYDB entry
Makemkv requires that a vuk be present in the keydb entry in order to use it. In many cases for UHD, a vuk may not be available and only unit keys are present. Looks like a unit key entry was added for that title but MakeMKV can't use it, unfortunately. You'd need to use something that can use the unit key to decrypt it and then open it with MakeMKV.

Re: Dump Submitted - Borderlands (2024)
The problem with that is that it's not easy to merge them within a batch process such as a bash script or powershell script. Not saying it's impossible, just that it complicates the process.

If you're on a UNIX-like system (I'm a Mac guy), you can automate this really easily: ... Converted to powershell for the Windows users in the house: # Define the URL and download path $URL = "http://fvonline-db.bplaced.net/fv_download.php?lang=eng" $DOWNLOAD_PATH = ".\keydb_update.z...

That's your disc ID and it already has an entry in the keydb. So you can use that until support is added.

Mine was in the keydb, as well. I don't know what MakeMKV's hash is for it though. Disc ID: A8A75E7ABFE68799A7AB1771A55885186EA58D08

Re: Dolby Vision playback via laptop via VLC Player?
That's the right model, yes. Just be aware, like I said, installing coreelec the first time is a bit involved. Once it's set up you're good to go and the pq rivals stand alone UHD players.

Re: Dolby Vision playback via laptop via VLC Player?
The ugoos, with coreelec, will play all profiles of Dolby vision, including FEL. But notice we said with coreelec. It does not come with that. You have to install it. The process is a bit involved but you only do it once. I personally use PM4K, which is a Plex front end. I have Plex on my nas. This ...
