Re: Dump Submitted - Godzilla Minus One Collector's Edition
Mine was in the keydb, as well. I don't know what MakeMKV's hash is for it though. Disc ID: A8A75E7ABFE68799A7AB1771A55885186EA58D08

You now have to add exclusions in Chrome to force http.

Re: Dolby Vision playback via laptop via VLC Player?
That's the right model, yes. Just be aware, like I said, installing coreelec the first time is a bit involved. Once it's set up you're good to go and the pq rivals stand alone UHD players.

Re: Dolby Vision playback via laptop via VLC Player?
The ugoos, with coreelec, will play all profiles of Dolby vision, including FEL. But notice we said with coreelec. It does not come with that. You have to install it. The process is a bit involved but you only do it once. I personally use PM4K, which is a Plex front end. I have Plex on my nas. This ...

Re: UHD FAQ
Anydvd could still be used if you have a lifetime license. But if it requires a connection to the non existent license servers then you'd not be able to use it. In any case Xreveal is cheap enough.

Re: UHD FAQ
Makemkv uses the vuk and can read the keydb.cfg file as long as it's in the right directory. It can't use unit keys though so as you discovered if you only have a unit key makemkv won't use it. You can use Xreveal in those cases to real time decrypt the disc and then open it with makemkv. Makemkv wi...

Re: UHD discs decrypting
They really don't. Xreveal will search for it in the roaming/aacs directory, yes, but AnyDVD doesn't even know about any of the locations until you tell it. And changing it in Xreveal is pretty easy. Whereas you CAN'T configure where MakeMKV looks for it. So changing the config is a viable option fo...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
There is very little chance it'll be useful for profile 7 fel. It's not impossible but extremely unlikely. I grabbed one just to play around with. I have a whole collection of useless streaming devices kicking around. Lol I don't hold out any hope that this will be a good device for local media. Sen...

Re: First time ripping "fail"
No it happens all the time that discs directly from the package need to be cleaned. The quality of these discs is not very good. Triple layer discs are the most problematic as they cram so much data into such tiny areas on the disc. What may look clean to the naked eye may in fact be a disc that can...

Re: First time ripping "fail"
Same thing I said in the last thread applies to this one. BRAND NEW NEVER TOUCHED doesn't mean a damn thing. Clean the disc. I don't care if it "looks clean". You are not looking at it through a microscope and UHD packs a TON of data on triple layer discs.

Re: Read Error
I love when people stress "brand new right out of the box" as though that means ANYTHING at all. The usual advice ALWAYS, every single time, applies. Clean the disc. If that doesn't work, try a different/better drive. Failing that, the disc is likely bad. This idea that discs coming right ...

Re: MAKE MKV alternative.
Or maybe don't follow my links. You're more than welcome to go find your "alternative" somewhere else. Complaining about a product on the product's forum and then asking for an alternative in the same breath is "a bit much."
