Clearly. At least we have it narrowed down now where Mike should be able to take a look. Maybe he can figure out why MakeMKV is hanging. I'd love to see a solution to this problem.setarip_old wrote:But what would be the fun then? ;>}it would have cut through the confusion 3 pages ago.

Re: Problem - tsMuxer Created Structures
What I don't understand is what tsMuxer is doing to the DTS-HD MA stream. It should be fully compliant. Yet MakeMKV doesn't seem to like it. Since I don't have any problems bitstreaming the resulting tsMuxer output in all of my players (WinDVD, PDVD, TMT3, ffdshow + Any DS Player), I'm at a loss as ...

Re: Problem - tsMuxer Created Structures
The issue appears to be something in tsMuxer. And again, you're ignoring the fact that I've had no such problem when using ONLY tsMuxeR in conjunction with ONLY MakeMKV dozens of times, including several made since the inception of this thread. Just going back to this quote....do you see now why I ...

Re: Problem - tsMuxer Created Structures
Yea, I was right. Simply telling MakeMKV to only keep the core DTS audio allowed it to finish correctly. So it would seem the issue is definitely with HD audio tracks that are run through tsMuxer. That's it. The whole issue in a nutshell. :) Now, why stripping off the last second works I have no ide...

Re: Problem - tsMuxer Created Structures
This is going to upset seta_rip. :) A lot. US Percy Jackson Blu-ray. -AnyDVD rip, tsMuxer kept avc video/dts-hd ma audio/pgs sub STATUS: FAILED (hung at end) -MakeMKV rip, tsMuxer kept avc video/dts-hd ma audio/pgs sub STATUS: FAILED (hung at end) So, it does *NOT* matter how it's ripped. And ONLY t...

Re: Problem - tsMuxer Created Structures
I did the 1 second cut thing on probably 6 or 7 of them last night and it worked fine on all of them. At the moment I'm working on Seta's test. I'm ripping Percy Jackson with MakeMKV right now. I've already tsMuxer'd the AnyDVD output. I've not run it through MakeMKV yet as I wanted to get all the r...

Re: Problem - tsMuxer Created Structures
I own that one so I'll give it a try tomorrow using both an AnyDVD rip to hard drive and a MakeMKV rip to hard drive. I will NOT be downconverting the HD audio as I keep HD audio in all my MKV's. That will be the only difference for our methods. I'll post back tomorrow when I get that done. It'll re...

Re: Problem - tsMuxer Created Structures
Yes, it's one that was already ripped. I haven't gotten to your test yet, but, as I promised, I shall. I've just been very busy today and haven't had time to get to everything I wanted to do. I just wanted to first make sure that the 1 second thing worked on the ones I was having trouble with first....

Re: Problem - tsMuxer Created Structures
Correct. I've done 3 of them that didn't work before, cutting the 1 second thing at the end, and now all work fine. So, the "theory" that it was how we ripped it isn't panning out so well IMO. :) I don't really care in any case. As long as I have a solution to the issue, I'm good. Losing a...

Re: Problem - tsMuxer Created Structures
Ok. I'm back with some LONNNNNGGGGGG tests. I took one of the ones I knew that didn't work: -extracted the streams -stuck them in tsMuxer -built a BD folder structure -ran MakeMKV against the folder -Waited 30 minutes (was supposed to be done in 10) and it was hung quite well -Killed MakeMKV process...

Re: Problem - tsMuxer Created Structures
The problem with that is that it loses the chapter info as that's not stored in the m2ts container. It's fine for a test, however, but, not as a practical solution. Also, seamless branching titles won't work like that, either. So I'll find one that isn't seamless branched and give it a try.

Re: Problem - tsMuxer Created Structures
I can certainly do so when I get a free moment. I was under the understanding that Liquid tried that already and came up with the same results...i.e. not working. Using MakeMKV, rip the whole disc to a folder, then load an MPLS in tsMuxer, output the streams he wanted, and then load the tsMuxer fold...

Re: Problem - tsMuxer Created Structures
That's quite a stretch to make that assumption! It doesn't matter what tool is used to decrypt or extract. If you've read through this thread, you'll see that this happens when using MakeMKV to rip to the hard drive first, then use tsMuxer on that, and then MakeMKV on the tsMuxer output. So, your lo...

Re: Problem - tsMuxer Created Structures
Ok, liquid, I got some stuff for you to do now. I just used ClownBD and set the "cut 1 second" option. Was just a hunch. The result......MakeMKV worked perfectly on the output from tsMuxer. Will attempt this on some others. But I want you to do the same.
