Re: Feature Request - Open/Edit a MKV

I think you misunderstand. Another EAC3TO GUI does *NOT* touch the streams at ALL save for converting the PGS subs to IDX/SUB. All it does is use EAC3TO to extract the video, audio, and sub streams for you and then uses mkvmerge to combine them into a MKV. That's it. It's an all in one solution that...

Re: Win explorer crashes when I navigate to folder with MKVs

Good luck with the Divx correspondence. AFAIK this has been an issue for MANY versions of Divx. When I was searching for a resolution it seemed this problem went back many years. Ultimately I uninstalled it but would love to be able to use the converter for some other projects I do. OK even with Di...

Re: Feature Request - Open/Edit a MKV

For those VC1 titles, couldn't you use something like eac3to to rip it to a video MKV and separate audio and subtitle streams, convert the subtitle, and then add them to the MKV with mkvmerge? I think that'd be slightly safer than using tsMuxer. Maybe. Also, Another EAC3To GUI can automate *ALL* of ...

And you're sure that video you tried has the issue that Mike is referring to? We know Avatar does. Do you have that to try with?

Re: Win explorer crashes when I navigate to folder with MKVs

Does the divx converter still work with those dll's disabled? That's what I bought divx for and had to uninstall it due to this problem. I tried it on 3 different machines and could NEVER get it to stop crashing until I uninstalled divx.

Re: Errors on HDDVD Rips

I have quite a few HD DVD's that I'd love to convert to MKV's, as well. With program support for HD DVD's dwindling, converting them to a more usable format does seem like a logical thing to do. Converting HD DVD's to an MKV with HD audio and PGS subs would definitely rock.

Re: Forced Subtitles

I know just finding forced subs is a huge win. I would like to make another sub request... If at all possible have an option to strip subtitle streams to ONLY forces subs. As mentioned some titles use the forced flag instead of a separate stream. Some players (XBMC) do not support the forced flag.....

Re: Problem - tsMuxer Created Structures

I sincerely doubt it but that's why I asked if Liquid tried a direct MakeMKV backup rip/tsMuxer/MakeMKV to MKV process. I'd prefer not to have to do it but if it's not been done already I'll definitely give it a try. I want to wait to see what Liquid has done first. Just trying to cover all bases. :)

Re: Problem - tsMuxer Created Structures

It's tsMuxing now with the 1 second fix. I have to run out for a bit so I'll run MakeMKV on it when I get back. I'm tsMuxing it off the disc with AnyDVD running in the background. I'm quite sure it'll work. I've yet to have one that didn't.

Yea, I'm doing another one as we speak. :D I can do Avatar either later tonight or tomorrow. That's a big freaking movie. Figures you guys pick all the big ones to test with. :D I'll see what I can do for you though. But I've done all the ones I had problems with using the 1 second cut trick. No iss...
