3-Bay SCSI enclosures might work, but you need to change the cables inside the enclosure. ESATA cables could be a solution

eBay - for parts or not working - "untested" - bank transfer
It was basically my fault for being too naive. He sold a lot of other drives which were tested and working...
So why should he not test this drive aswell? I guess the answer to that question ist quite obvious

It worked flawlessly this time. I just ripped a Blu Ray without any problems. Thanks a lot for your help

I followed the instructions but it does not work for me. DosFlash always reports "MTK Vendor Intro failed!". I am still not sure which firmware to use anyway. The oldest firmware included for the BW-16D1HT is version 3.02. Am I supposed to use one of the older LG NS40 firmwares? Version 1....

Which firmware version should I flash? Are the 3.X versions even compatible with 2014 drives?

I tried all sorts of discs and none of them made the drive even spin up. "No disc" everytime.
