For those wondering, the link posted in previous post, most likely should lead here today: https://www.avsforum.com/threads/36-bit ... n.1486405/

Re: Event Horizon UK/EU 4K
I gave up, downloaded the trial version of DVDFab and ripped it without any problems. You get 3 free rips with trial so I still have 2 left for any future "stubborn" disks that MakeMKV won't like. Alex, did you downgrade your drive firmware for that? I have LG WH16NS60 with firmware patch...

Re: Event Horizon UK/EU 4K
Nonethless, it'll be great to receive some statement from MakeMKV app authors which review the dumps we send, and know the reason why this disc is not supported.
If I see correctly it is the only 4K UHD disc that cannot be backed up. That's quite surprising precedence

Re: Event Horizon UK/EU 4K
I think it's the only UHD disc that's over two months olds and cannot be ripped.
I'd like to see some comments from MakeMKV team, on what's so special about it. Anyone has some good contacts there?

Re: "Please deactivate AnyDVD" - But AnyDVD is not installed.
@Woodstock It's "Naked Gun 2 1/2" -> https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B09 ... UTF8&psc=1
But as I double checked, in package I got BD-R disc (not BD-ROM), so I'm going to return it. I don't think it can be a legal copy

Re: "Please deactivate AnyDVD" - But AnyDVD is not installed.
@mike admin, so what is the solution here? I have bought a supposedly legit blu-ray which apparently has "!ANY" folder in it. When I try to back it up, I get misleading message that "AnyDVD" is running, which is nonsense. I'm on macOs and never had such software installed. When I...

Re: Event Horizon UK/EU 4K
I believe there must be some specific issue with this disc that makes it difficult to support. It'll be great to hear some explanations from MakeMKV maintainers. At least, other discs with unknown volume key seem to be addressed at a regular pace, e.g. on 15th September, I tried to back up the new g...

Re: How to detect SDR/HDR version reliably?
I'm running it on movie backup files (specifically m2ts streams) not MKV files, and as of v22.06 version (which appears as latest) of MediaInfo, it's just DV video layer that is exposed as second video track: Video #1 ID : 4113 (0x1011) Menu ID : 1 (0x1) Format : HEVC Format/Info : High Efficiency V...

Re: How to detect SDR/HDR version reliably?
@dcoke22 Great thanks I've tried it, and indeed there's a lot of valuable extra information there. Still, interestingly it doesn't provide an info on Dolby Vision (but that I can get from MKV), also as I checked MediaInfo doesn't recognize Auro 3D audio tracks. Nonetheless taking data from MakeMKV a...

How to detect SDR/HDR version reliably?
Hello, is there any way with MakeMKV to detect reliably whether a given 4K disc is either SDR, HDR10, HDR10+, and/or DV ? I investigate the metadata, and there's information in `codeLong` field, from which I find it possible to detect Dolby vision, as it's marked as ""MpegH HEVC Main10@L5....

Re: Event Horizon UK/EU 4K
Maybe someone is on vacation.
But it's true it takes unnaturally long this time to have this volume key addressed (I've send my dump on 17th August)

Re: "No drive tool logic.." when flashing BU40N
Yeah I'm pretty sure your case is not passing flashing commands You were right, I've just put this drive to different case and was able to flash without issues. It's interesting as in same enclosure without issues I flashed this drive when it was new, it's version I got back after servicing that di...

Re: "No drive tool logic.." when flashing BU40N
I think it gets same error:Try with the asus flasher see what happens
I'll see later, maybe I can remove it from case, and check with the other. Still that's weird, as in very same case I was able to flash it previously (when it was new, before servicing)

Re: "No drive tool logic.." when flashing BU40N
Open a disc in makemkv and try again Unfortunately that doesn't help Screenshot 2021-04-19 at 13.49.58.png i think i know whats wrong what adapter are you using to flash this drive? What do you mean by "adapter"? It's Archgon external -> https://www.amazon.de/dp/B07B2RMXKW/ref=pe_3044161_...
