Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Which adapter do you use? I’m intrigued that it works on x800m2, I tried one of the x700 and it just came up saying that the device wasn’t supported - guessing they run different OSes maybe? this one:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BBD7NFU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I have an LG G1 and Sony x700. Now, if I have a .iso of a 4K Bluray (dual layer DV), can I play it in its full glory by converting it to .m2ts (because .iso playback is not supported if I'm not mistaken)? If so, what is the exact process that I'd have to follow? maybe you can just copy the m2ts fil...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
You know what, I think I'm getting that "sinking feeling" with my recent purchase of the C1 after making these realizations. It seems to be a downgrade from my old TCL TV in this regard…the picture quality is amazing, but seriously, the way it handles formats is atrocious. If you were exp...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Fairly certain you won’t be able to get lossless audio out of the LG Oled TV, doesn’t matter if it’s earc/passthrough - the tv (CX onwards) doesn’t support DTS/DTS-HD/Dolby TrueHD. If you are trying to get a Blu-ray playing ‘fully’ I.e. profile 7 Dolby vision and lossless audio, you’ll need an exter...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I’m pretty sure that’s just the upfront amount / deposit before having to pay the full amount. At least that’s how the group bulk purchases worked - fairly certain this site is just mimicking that?

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
A question for those with a Sony x700. I picked one up on sale about 3 weeks ago and just wondering if this glitch I'm experiencing is happening to everyone? When playing a dual track .ts Dolby Vision file via USB, if i stop the film and select another DV film its like it tries to play the two trac...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Infuse on Apple TV just got updated to support profile 5 in mkv. Don’t know if that’s a reasonable alternative to shield for p5 mkv files now?
Lack of lossless audio is still an issue but most profile 5 files won’t have lossless audio anyway.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Probably been discussed over and over again so sorry, but what are people using to play profile 5 in mkvs currently?
As much as I don’t trust it from profile 7 attempts, I’m guessing it’s probably the nvidia shield? Kodi/plex?

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Does lower the brightness or contrast setting by 1 fix the raised black bars? It may crush black a little but I think it's more sensible than buying another device just to play a few titles on appletv and amazon (at least for me) nop, nothing can be done to fix it. I just noticed that the zidoo beh...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Have you checked with your HDFury device to see if the x700 is allowing TV led Dolby Vision? In the image you have attached above, Stacey says: Yes, the x700 support both DV format. My Vertex report RGB 8bit (tv-led). Finally got my x700 :D Can confirm the same on my Vertex2. The 'bug' wasn't exact...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
So which players are capable of playing FEL remuxes from network sources (Plex/Emby/SMB), e.g. the full deal retaining the 12bit 4000nits final picture like when playing the original disc? e.g. remuxed into a TS or MKV container so I can add a high def audio track? From network? The oppo and that's...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
AVS Forums. Sounds like the update is only in Korea for now, last time I think it took a day to release elsewhere but I think it's been two days now. Wait a week and read the AVS LG thread to monitor for deficiencies I suppose. Thanks, been reading around. Supposedly this also fixes the ‘raised bla...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
For anyone with an LG CX, the new firmware update purportedly allows profile 7 files to be played in the internal player. I'm unable to test this myself for a few weeks since I'm staying away from home. Previously the LG CX could only play 8.1 files. Good news if true because, unlike 8.1, profile 7...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
The quality gap is very narrow and the convenience of streaming it's a winner for me. I am sure with better internet speeds, we will have the option to stream lossless auido in the future. I agree with the fact that sooner or later physical media will go (although dvds are still around). But no way...
