Re: Lord of the Rings + The Hobbit 4K (Finally!)
From my original set disc 2 does better but still has an error on file 00073.m2ts (the big 29GB one) .. really not sure why. It does this on both the drives. The SHA1 I get from my resulting dump of the 00073.m2ts file is: 6740e0b97dc9f9056dc17927f16d84475e693871 00073.m2ts can I ask if that matche...

Re: BU40N Reports Successful Flash Without Actually Updating
Just as an 'FYI' I recently bought an LG BU40N from Amazon and the manufacture date is May 2021. Firmware version 1.04. Successfully flashed with the HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BU40N-1.04-NM00500-212005061142.bin file from the MK firmware pack using SDFToolFlasher 1.3.1

Anyone know of 5.25" bay holders for 9.5mm DVD drives?
Just got a LG BU40N to try and see if I can get some awkward discs to player nicer (looking at you, LoTR extended..) Since I have a large tower case I wondered if I might be able to find a suitable 5.25" bay enclosure to house it and make it tidy. Unfortunately I've not been able to find any wh...

Re: SDFtool Flasher
The GUI may look a bit deformed if you are using a 4K monitor. You can right click the exe and select properties. In the compatibility tab, click "Change high DPI settings" then under "High DPI scaling override" tick the box and select "System (Enhanced)" in the dropbo...

Re: SDFtool Flasher
Not tried the tool yet but the current one has some styling issues on high DPI screens, just wanted to pass that along:
Not sure how to get to the checkboxes on the left to select 'encrypted' etc

Re: Star Wars 4Ks
I happened by this thread while extracting the discs of 'The Skywalker Saga' and I did find that the Star Wars 4K discs seem particular finnicky to extract. Adding my 2 cents on my experience in case it helps anyone else. Sometimes I extract discs direct to a network drive (10G fiber connection) sin...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2021
Can confirm the flash files and instructions were *ace* for the LG WH16NS60 I recently got.
Firmware on original drive was 1.03, SVC NS60 and drive platform MT1959.
Flashed and is extracting a UHD movie disc right now.
Thanks!

Drive not ejecting until I close MakeMKV
After a rip I have noticed that discs (Bluray in this instance) will not eject when I press the eject button on the drive. It will act like it's going to eject, and then it's 'reloaded'. MakeMKV then tries to re-read the disc. The same happens if I click the 'eject' button from the MakeMKV toolbar. ...
