Re: A24 Movies: How do I rip blu-rays where the title is listed multiple times?
Some discs have playlist obfuscation. It was a tactic some studios used for a time to try to prevent their discs from being ripped as you're about to do. There's probably a thread on the forum most any disc with this that you'll run into. Midsommar Hereditary Blu Ray Playlist Obfuscation There's a c...

Re: Asus BW-16D1X-U
Coopervid made that determination based on the drive platform of MT1959.
ASUS doesn't actually manufacture their own optical drives; they buy a drive from an OEM (LG in this case) and put their own logo and firmware on it.

Re: First Time Ripping, not fully worked?
I'd suggest getting MediaInfo , a free utility to show you details about .mkv files. I find it to be a valuable tool. Since MakeMKV is just copying the bits on the optical disc into a new container, the .mkv file, I'm sure MediaInfo will tell you that the resolution of the video in the .mkv file Mak...

Re: makemkv feature request slow hdd
Personally, I use a local external SSD as my work area when I'm ripping discs and making .mkv files. Only when I'm satisfied with my files do I bother to push them to my NAS. Reasonably sized reasonably fast external SSDs are reasonably priced these days.

Submitted where? I'm a bit new here, so all I see are folks saying they submitted, but without a link to see what files folks actually ripped. Read the hashed keys section of the UHD FAQ . People are submitting dumps MakeMKV automatically produces when a hashed key for a disc is not available to do...

Re: PGS Subtitle Extraction / Resync
I wonder if it would be easier to download French .srt subtitles for the movie in question? Many playback systems support .srt subtitles as a sidecar file in the same directory as the .mkv file containing the movie.

Re: How The Grinch Stole Christmas 4K Dump Summited
Usually when people make a post like that it means they've emailed the dump file MakeMKV has produced to svq@makemkv.com so a hashed key can be made available. Those posts are even more helpful if they include the name of the dump file they submitted. The hashed keys section of the UHD FAQ has more ...
