Re: Fall Guy Dumps Sent
I have the UHD Extended Cut (FALLGUY_UPK50) of Fall Guy and the Verbatim 43888 (LG BU40N inside) but I can't get the main playlist off the disc. I have the most recent keydb.cfg which fixed the decryption errors and enabled me to get all the short stuff off. But for the main playlist it eventually ...

Re: Fight Club Dump File Submitted
Installed the latest keydb file from the previous link, restarted MakeMKV, and I still get "The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted." Hmmm. What is the name of the .tgz file that MakeMKV produced? Presuming it is different than the one mentioned in this thread t...

The general recommendation is to leave the firmware alone.

Re: DASPI kext on Sequoia with Xbox 360 HD DVD Drive
Running an unsigned kernel extension in modern macOS is pretty hard and should be avoided generally. Securely extending the kernel in macOS It might be easier to do on an older Intel mac. Or see how well that drive works on a Windows or Linux machine. Or, depending on how many HD-DVDs you have, buy ...

The current beta key is valid until the end of May. MakeMKV is free while in beta If you purchased a license you should've gotten an email with your permanent key. Either way, you'll have to input the key into MakeMKV and restart MakeMKV. Find the 'Register' menu item in the 'Help' menu of MakeMKV t...

Re: mac OS says "makeMKV is damaged and can't be opened"
It has been a while since I've used macOS Sierra. I'm pretty sure this is just Apple's Gatekeeper getting in the way. Instead of double-clicking on the app, right-click (or Option click) and select Open. If I remember correctly, it'll open a dialog to try to convince you not to open it, but you can ...

If your laptop's USB ports aren't powerful enough, it is fairly easy to get a high powered USB hub that will have powerful enough ports.
I've seen Billycar11 suggest a Sabrent HB-BU10 hub. Personally, I like the Plugable USB3-HUB7C. There are lots of others that will work.

Re: If MakeMKV is done with a disc, it ejects when screen locks or unlocks
Does your drive have its own power supply or is powered via a powered USB hub or is powered solely by the computer's USB ports?
I've seen people on the internet mention a bug with external drives doing weird things on macOS if they're only powered by the Mac's USB ports.

Please also email the dump file to svq@makemkv.com.
In the interim you can also try the Public KeyDB. https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=176733#p176733
