Here's where the current beta key is: https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1053
Be careful when coping & pasting the key into MakeMKV. Sometimes copy & paste unhelpfully adds a space at the end of whatever is pasted. MakeMKV does not like that extra space.

What does MakeMKV say about your drive? Does it support LibreDrive?

Please attach the .tgz dump file to an email and send it to svq@makemkv.com.
In the meantime you can try the public keyDB.

Re: Read Errors
Those errors mean there's a spot on that the disc that was unable to be read correctly.
As tomty89 suggests, ddrescue might help.

Re: Read Errors
What happens if you try to make a decrypted backup of the disc? On the first screen of MakeMKV click the icon of the green arrow and the yellow folder and make sure the decrypt checkbox is checked. Doing a backup of a disc will read the entire disc and in the case of a DVD output the contents to an ...

Re: Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan 4K UHD disc from the Star Trek: The Original Motion Picture Collection (1-6) 4K UHD
I'm not entirely sure what you mean when you say the "film ripped into many clips" but I'll explain how files are arranged on a blu-ray and UHD and that might help. When you make a decrypted backup of a disc with MakeMKV and you examine the output you'll find a bunch of #####.m2ts files in...

Re: The Hurt Locker
Gently cleaning a disc often helps, even if the disc is brand new and seems perfectly clean. In my experience, some drives just don't like some discs. For this reason, I have multiple different drives. Most discs work most of the time in my 'main' drive but on the occasion that one doesn't work, I'l...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2026
Hi I've been following the instructions to flash my drive using my Mac (I don't have access to a PC) However, when I type './makemkvcon f -l' into Terminal, I get the following: Found 1 drives(s) 00: HL-DT-ST_BD-RE_BU40N_1.05_212404231347_MO9P9QJ5043 The flashing guide says I should see "/IOBD...

Re: Disc streams fail to rip, backup ISO fully works
According to the log file MakeMKV successfully saved 9 files. Is that what you expect?
Since it is able to rip titles on the disc, things are being successfully decrypted. You do not have a keydb.cfg problem.
What does MediaInfo say about the .mkv files MakeMKV produced?

Re: How to rip widescreen when DVD defaults to full screen
https://www.blu-ray.com/dvd/Go-DVD/1939/ The entry for the disc on blu-ray.com suggests it is a dual layer disc. I would guess that there is probably two titles on the disc, one that is the widescreen and the other that is the 4:3 pan & scan. Does MakeMKV's log suggest that MakeMKV is removing ...

Re: Avatar Fire and Ash Dump Submitted
Attach that generated dump file to an email and send it to svq@makemkv.com. Eventually a hashed key will be generated so MakeMKV can decrypt the disc. Additionally, you can also try the public KeyDB, an additional, separate key mechanism MakeMKV can use.
