I did end up getting a .tgz file submitted to the e-mail, the variant at the end was F421, not F420. That could be the issue?

Can you post the MakeMKV log from trying to rip the disc?

Often the problem is the disc is dirty and can't be properly read by the optical drive. Gently cleaning the disc and trying again helps sometimes.
