Re: Holler (bluray) "disc uses newer version of AACS protection"

Hi - the movie Holler (2021) on bluray comes up with a message saying: "This disc uses newer version of AACS protection". Anything I can do to make it work?

How did you fix it? Please share!

Can you copy and paste MakeMKV's log file into a post of it trying and failing on your disc?

I don ...

Re: Batch processing?

There is a command line version of MakeMKV, makemkvcon.

https://makemkv.com/developers/usage.txt

If you search around the forum you'll find people talking about it and examples of how people use it.

Re: E.T. extra-terrestrial UHD disk (ET40TH_UPK5) : never stop analysing the disk, too many sync errors

My copy of ET is the one from 2017, not the 40th anniversary release from 2022, which is, I think, the one you have. Mine worked fine when I processed it a few years ago.

It is my understanding, although I can't say with absolute certainty, that when one does a backup in MakeMKV, content hash ...

Re: Elysium: Is this error on all discs?

I only have the regular blu-ray and the thing you're referencing happens at about 00:42:40. And I think it is supposed to be there. It is the "glitch" of the video feed starting up for the guy watching a wall of monitors.

Did you attach the dump file to an email and send it to svq@makemkv.com?

UHD FAQ

Also, you could try other key mechanism MakeMKV supports, the Public KeyDB.

Are you trying to just rip the movie? Or are you doing a decrypted backup of the disc? Do you get the same behavior if you try both methods?

Re: Jackie Chan's Breakout Hits [Limited Edition] [4K Ultra HD] Box Set

I think a BP50NB40 is a two-hopper drive, meaning it has to be flashed twice to work with UHD.

Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide

The 'Recommended Firmware to Flash for MakeMKV' section says:

WP/BP50NB40 to > BP50NB40-NB50-1.03MK then to > BP60NB10 1.02MK or 1.00MK

I would guess that you've ...

Re: BP60NB10 1.00 LibreDrive: repeated read errors on 3D BD and UHD discs

Some of those errors seem like the drive isn't getting enough power, although I saw you said you tried with different cabling to try to test for this.

You could perhaps try to clean the optics of the drive. Gently use a Q-tip dipped in isopropyl alcohol on the lenses of the optics. Do it twice and ...

Re: Submitted - Super Mario Galaxy Movie - UHD

I'm having trouble with this exact disc ("No disc") even after retrieving latest KeyDB.cfg and restarting.

BP60NB10.

This is the only disc that has manifest an issue with a completely undetected disc. The disc seems to play fine in my XBox Series X.

Anyone have any advice?

Have you tried ...

Re: Questions about DV7 playback support and which hardware player to get

I can't answer all of your questions, but regarding Dolby Atmos I can provide some input. As you're probably aware, Atmos is object based sound data that is in addition to traditional multi-channel surround sound. From a practical standpoint, Atmos adds height channels to a more traditional surround ...

Re: By far not 6x rip speed after flashing to MK 1.03

This might help you: MakeMKV drive speed control

In general, I think it is best not to worry about how fast a drive rips a disc. I think it is better to worry about how often the rip is successful. MakeMKV can rip from more than one drive at the same time. If you have a lot of discs to rip get a ...

It looks good! But I'd prefer to be able to do this from the MakeMKV app itself... as some here have said can be done. I've been trying to find some instructions for how to do that, but the replies I've gotten have not helped... it's almost like this is some sort of "insider secret" ?

Are you double-clicking on sdf.bin? What are you trying to accomplish? That isn't an executable file.
