I don't have an answer, but I posted in this forum with a simular problem. I have a WH16NS40-NS50 flashed to MK 1.05 firmware. Drive works just fine untill I use Makemkv to rip a BD. After that trying to play a DVD, windows meadia player complains that drive is set to DVD region 8. Like you I looked...

Thanks for the info. I assume that I will have to first flash the wh14ns40 1.04MK file, and than downgrade to the wh16ns60 1.02MK.
Or is it possibale to just flash directaly from stock to wh16ns60 1.02Mk. ?

I am wondering where do I find the 1.04MK firmware file ??? I d/l the 4-15-2020 firmware zip file. There is a 1.04Mk file for the
