If you are affected: Please do post your drive model, log file (if you have it), and whether the "power off-power on" did change anything. I have a LG WH14NS40 (Internal SATA) I have this same problem. If I power down, wait 10 seconds, power PC back on, Windows recognizes my Blu-ray drive...
