Here is how I did it (Windows 10 Pro / Build 2004 - 64-bit):

1. Find the ICON in the START MENU (PROGRAMS LIST).
2. Right-Mouse button click. Choose MORE >> OPEN FILE LOCATION.
3. When EXPLORER opens to the SHORTCUT (see image):

Thanks for the link. I had already looked at that. Was not helpful. I see nothing which tells me HOW TO GRANT MakeMKV access.

I do not get a prompt from the OS - to allow access.

I also find it :evil: :( FRUSTRATING :!: that no-one from MakeMKV is responding to my request for ...

I have just built a NEW Home Theatre PC. For years I used one which was running XBMC on Windows 8.1.

The motherboard died, and I finally built a new one - installed the Windows 8.1 which was on it - then upgraded it to Windows 10. All hardware - HDDs and BD-RE drive retained, only MB, RAM, CPU is ...

Another UPDATE -- Apparently it is something in MakeMKV :( - as I downloaded and installed LEAWO BLU-RAY PLAYER - and it has no problem using the DRIVE (see image).

:!: Still waiting on a response from MAKEMKV themselves - as well as their SALES DEPT to recover my old registration/purchase ...

Thanks for that, but I am not sure that is it. Some of the other stuff I have been reading on PLEX forums and others - state that Windows 10 cannot 'natively' play DVDs and BRs. I also find it VERY ODD that MakeMKV thinks there is no DVD drive in the computer. This VERY SAME PC (well ...

Great info - but now I see another problem. The system where I installed it - says it cannot find a USABLE DRIVE.

I find this strange, as I can play DVDs and BRs on it using the Drive. Attaching images from the HARDWARE INFO ...
