Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
Now open mkvtoolnix, add the mkv you created with MakeMKV, deselect the DTS-HD audio track, add the audio.ac3 file and mux to a new mkv file. This file should retain the DV (as you are using the MakeMKV generated mkv file) and now have only an ac3 audio track. This is the bit where I'm going to get...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
Is there a version of the apk or a way to default the audio to 'none'? - trying to play my MKV rip of The Matrix. Worked fine on my other setup downstairs using an HDFury Vertex 2 running through a Marantz 6012. I hooked my 2019 Shield up to a brand new Sony Bravia X90H I purchased for a room upsta...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
I'm assuming this "color issue" is one of those things where you'd only notice if you stared really hard at 2 screenshots side by side, one being the issue and the other being normal? Because Dolby Vision content on my shield looks stunning. Netflix Marvel content makes it insanely notice...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
If you mounted the drive on your shield in settings - storage, it should just show up as a drive in Kodi It does not. I can see all my shares in "TV file manager app", but not in kodi's file manager or in any combination of stuff in "add source" in the attachments. :/ *edit* Als...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
Map the share on the Shield (not Kodi), or copy a file to the local storage to test it first. May be a stupid question, but how do you make kodi find the share, once mapped by the shield? I've been trying to figure this out for ages, and finally gave up and just copied files to my usb hdd. If you m...

Going to try this on my new Sony X900H .. doubt it will work but I’d laugh if it did.

Re: Official Dolby Vision MKV spec support
So I got the APK working on my 2019 nVidia Shield.
Today I got a brand new Sony Bravia X90H running Oreo. What are the odds this APK would work on this TV? LMAO

Re: Official Dolby Vision MKV spec support
I tried with kodi addon 0.2.1 but it only triggers hdr out of mkv So 2 things: Did you alter the XML file first and did you choose "Open In Exoplayer'? no. What should I alter in xml? Follow this post: https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=21937&start=915#p93552 You can ma...

Re: Official Dolby Vision MKV spec support
True. I am not holding my breath that the M9702 will get an update for DV mkv playback. Looking at adding a Shield to the collection. At the moment this looks like the best bet or most complete solution. The 2019 Shield is awesome. Check my latest post on the "Dolby Vision and 1.15.1" thr...
