Re: Can't treat/read BRdiscs nor UHD anymore, DVD ok
OK if anyone had the idea of proposing a key to this post, let him forget it! Wiping the br was enough, Makemkv did the job What I don't get is that as said in my initial post : (I re-tried one BR precedently having caused no trouble at all, this time with the same new issue) I mean failed issue, is...

Can't treat/read BRdiscs nor UHD anymore, DVD ok
Hello Makemkv suddenly announces "No disc inserted" any time I try to process a bray or a uhd as of Playback, VLC don't play those anymore DVDs are played and mkv-processed OK I uninstalled and re-installed Makemkv 1.17.5 with the same new issue I suppose the Asus BC-12D2HT alone has to be...

Re: different drives, different hardwares?
No. If you are happy on 3.01 then leave it as is. I was saying that all you had to do was flash it from original 3.11 to 3.11-MK and you would have been good to go! yes ok but now I got a small doubt consisting in the fact I might have been better from asus 3.11 to mkv 3.11 with bigger speed but I ...

Re: different drives, different hardwares?
All you had to do was flash your BC-12D2HT to ASUS-BC-12D2HT-3.11-WM00300-211902271319.bin (which is what we generally call 3.11-MK). This makes your drive UHD capable. but I have this now: LibreDrive Information Status: Enabled Drive platform: MT1959 Firmware type: Patched (microcode access re-ena...

Re: different drives, different hardwares?
Right, but you didn’t load it with 3.11 unless this is a typo in your second post. Says firmware version 3.01. yes, jonghotti! but my 2nd post is a screenshot of the result I got AFTER my flashing :!: I got your meaning now, but my 2nd post with screenshot was to say I made it all by myself without...

Re: different drives, different hardwares?
would it mean I might expect that my Asus drive BC-12D2HT could suffer from being flashed by the ASUS-BC-12D2HT-3.11-WM00300-211902271319.bin I found from the mk-firmware-pack-20200415 from the mike topic for the simple reason I bought this drive in France? The model numbers match what is the probl...

Re: Status: Possible, not yet enabled
Buying another drive is not an option. Any other suggestions are welcome. If, for instance, VLC can show the movie, why can't makemkv handle it? because MKV does more than VLC and is a lot more complex, I mean, VLC plays most dvds (just a matter of zone problems for a small number of them) , rippin...

Hello, I'm a little confused after reading a lot of posts here and there: How should I install LD compatibility in MKV without destroying my machine (I mean, bricking my drive) gives me a headache for instance, this: Please note that there are different drives with exactly the same name but with dif...

Re: flashing drive for Libredrive compatibility
:? Sorry Billy but in the howto flash video you linked me, an .exe is used (at 35"), I think it's the drive self-update Mike is referring to The images are very safe - you can't brick your drive if using "drive self-update" method. but I only have this which is a .bin: ASUS-BC-12D2HT-...

flashing drive for Libredrive compatibility
Hello I miss a way of doing this (hope my english good enough). Do I just have to copy the .bin file for my drive model (Asus BC-12D2HT) obtained from the unzipped folder downloaded from the link given by Mike (mk-firmware-pack-20200415) and paste it inside the MakeMKV folder of my Program files (x8...
