Yes it may be possible that due to improper conversion that hampers the quality of the video or the video file is not compatable with the player. But another utilite make the conversion without errors. I use dvtool + mkvmerge and got mkv file with video quality, equal source file. Convert by makemk...

Yes, I have this problem too. This is a vob file from original DVD. When this DVD opened in MakeMKV (last 1.5.5 version) and conversion, mkv from "this file" (and other) is playing, but if mkv-file demux in mpg - video file is wrong and error... (see previous post) Video wrong not after d...

Version 1.5.5 beta. Input vob: http://narod.ru/disk/20735869000/VTS_01_1.VOB.html (743Mb).
Result of conversion is color-squared in many frames and square-form errors on edge of figures.
Probably, error in format conversion.
